With the amount of press and hype recently going around concerning the move by ISH North America to go every-other-year, it's easy to see how some people might misunderstand and assume that ASA's Annual Meeting (also known as “Convention”) has also changed its schedule.
Last month we introduced the "scholarships" for the 2004 University of Industrial Distribution, which will support attendance at the UID in the amount of $200 per person.
In mid-January, ASA conducted a survey of more than 3,000 members and non-members (including wholesalers, manufacturers and reps) to determine their likes and dislikes about our Convention program.
We've added sample pages of all of the Education Foundation's courses to the course descriptions on our website so that you can review course features, learning objectives and up to 10 sample pages per course!
In the next few weeks, we'll be conducting an on-line survey of our members and non-members, to help us create the best possible convention program for 2004.
In 2004, the Foundation will offer more Essentials of Profitable PHCP Distribution pilot seminars, more webinars, more Dave Kahle sales training seminars, and more support for ASA regional training initiatives.
The partners in ISH North America have been working together to develop a new concept, tentatively called a “Combined Industry Conference,” that will ultimately provide a whole new educational and business experience for all attendees.
