The 2015 AHR Expo outdid itself and the competition Jan. 26-28. The premier HVACR event, held at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago, took the title of best-attended event ever held in the city.
Jim Allen, president and CEO of Sloan Valve Co., recently sat down with Supply House Times to discuss the suburban Chicago-based manufacturer’s enhanced role with the city’s legendary baseball team, the Cubs, the growing desire for beauty in commercial plumbing products and other issues in the plumbing industry.
After walking the Greenbuild 2013 exhibitor hall Nov. 20-21 it became evident that major manufacturers did not pack as many new products or technologies for the Philadelphia incarnation of the premier sustainable building trade show.
During the 2013 AHR Expo in Dallas, the trade show’s leaders distributed a survey to its 55,000 attendees. The results were a tad surprising coming out of the industry’s premier HVACR event. Nearly 18% of attendees say they are interested in plumbing products and technologies. The show’s organizers and exhibiting companies have responded in earnest to those results.
