Metals Service Center Institute reported the rate of steel and aluminum shipments declined in both the U.S. and Canada in March. MSCI reported U.S. service center steel shipments in March 2020 decreased by 2.3% from March 2019. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 3.5% from the same month in 2019.
Canadian service center steel shipments in March 2020 decreased by 17.4% from March 2019. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 7.5% from the same month in 2019, MSCI reported.
