The American Supply Association recently hired association veteran Merrill Drew as its new director of marketing and communications.
In her role, Drew is responsible for developing and managing the brand strategies and implementing integrated marketing and communications plans for all programs and services that increase the awareness and image of ASA, the ASA Education Foundation and all other entities within ASA, while also directing all communications and public relations activities.
“Merrill’s impact here at ASA has been immediate and highly meaningful,” ASA Vice President of Sales and Membership Mike Miazga said. “Merrill has hit the ground running and already has taken the association’s marketing and communications platforms to another level that will greatly benefit ASA’s strong membership base.”
Prior to joining ASA, Drew was membership outreach manager at the International Society for Stem Cell Research in Skokie, Illinois, and also was director of membership and customer service at the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine in suburban Chicago, and
section/council membership data specialist at the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Drew holds Certified Association Executive (CAE) accreditation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership & Management from Michigan State University/Society for Nonprofits. Drew also is a former International Association of Women VIP Influencer of the Year Circle Inductee.
