The American Supply Association recently announced the hirings of Fabian Tovar as Education Engagement Manager and Brianna Baresel as Manager of Data & Market Intelligence. The hirings further strengthen ASA’s best-in-class ASA University education/training platform and the association’s expanding business intelligence division.

Tovar is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a degree in communications. Prior to joining ASA, Tovar was an associate account executive at Amazon, responsible for direct marketing efforts to promote products and services. He also managed client outreach and engagement with an eye toward profitability growth.

In his new role at ASA, Tovar will work closely with ASA members and prospective members on education- and training-related matters as ASA continues to be at the forefront of employee training and education at a critical time of need in the industry given constantly changing labor conditions.

Tovar’s deep interest in marketing led him to pursue a digital marketing certification from Meta that he plans to complete before year’s end.

“Fabian’s experience with direct customer outreach and client relationship-building has brought excitement and a fresh, new approach to this important education engagement role,” said Taylor Kenney, ASA’s Vice President of Education.

Baresel graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in business communications, while minoring in digital studies. Prior to coming to ASA, Baresel was part of the sales team at Sugino Corp., a manufacturer of equipment for high-pressure cleaning, deburring, machining, drilling and tapping, burnishing and waterjet cutting. She also previously worked at Chicago Metropolitan Fire Prevention and the Round Rock Express, the Triple-A minor league affiliate of the Texas Rangers.

Baresel will be the point person for all of ASA’s business intelligence offerings and will help to further expand and create new BI/benchmarking programs of keen interest to ASA members. Baresel will also work with ASA members to ensure they are taking full advantage of all of ASA’s available business intelligence/benchmarking programs.

“Bri’s passion and interest in data and marketing will bring a creative approach to ASA’s business intelligence programs,” ASA Vice President of Sales and Operations Mike Miazga said. “Bri also will be focused on making sure our members are educated on and taking full advantage of all the benchmarking reports we offer.”
