At its September dealer meeting, Greg Borr, president of O’Connor Co., announced that he was stepping down as president, in anticipation of his 2023 retirement. Effective October 1, the newly-appointed president of the company is Jennie Bryan, formerly O’Connor’s vice president of Operations.
Borr has worked at O’Connor Company for almost 12 years in various leadership roles and has been president for the last five years. He has decided to leave the business to spend more time with his family. Though his departure is bittersweet, he is excited to see how the company will continue to grow under Jennie’s leadership.
“I’m excited for this transition,” stated Borr. “Jennie’s 20 plus years of experience in wholesale distribution in HR, sales management, project management and operations management including the last five years at O’Connor Company will serve the team well as she transitions into the role.”
In addition to her industry experience, Bryan has served as president of the Prophet 21 Midwest Users Group, served as a Board of Directors Member for Women in HVAC, and earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology and business from Oakland University. She will be a part of the short list of women presidents in the HVAC industry.
“It has been an honor working alongside Greg,” said Bryan. “He has set an example of what outstanding leadership should be. I look forward to building upon the culture of customer service and excellence that he has created here.”
Borrwill stay on as the immediate past president for the next six months to help ensure a smooth transition.
“Greg has done an outstanding job as president of O’Connor and has built a strong customer service culture that I admire and appreciate. We all wish him well in his retirement next year. Over the next several months, I look forward to working with Greg and Jennie for a smooth transition. With Jennie’s impressive experience I look forward to continued success at O’Connor," said Kevin Baxter, president of HVAC at Munch’s Supply/Marcone.
