How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?

More than nine years.

What drew you into the industry?

I love the fact that the industry is heavily centered around building relationships, both with customers and vendor partners. Growing up I had family and friends in the industry and watching them love what they do every day made me want to be a part of it.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?

Being able to provide solutions to customers knowing that what we do every day is essential to society. The fact that the materials we sell provide safe water or clean air to a home or commercial building is extremely fulfilling.

What motivates you every day?

My family, first and foremost, but a close second would be company success. DSG is a 100% employee-owned company, so knowing that any decisions I make can directly influence our company share price is rewarding and motivating.

What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?

Just how important this industry is. Without it, our everyday lives would be a lot less comfortable.

What has been your proudest moment in your career so far?

In early-August a group of 15 employee-owners at DSG, including myself, successfully completed the Lead DSG program conducted by Dale Carnegie. This year-long course was capped off with a 20-minute capstone presentation to our executive leadership team with an idea to help improve our company both operationally and financially.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

I graduated high school in England!
