What is the most rewarding aspect of your career in PHCP-PVF?
As a director of sales and an influential woman in the PHCP-PVF industry, one of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been the opportunity to drive business success and deliver value to customers. I enjoy inspiring and mentoring the next generation of leaders, to pursue careers in the industry. I deeply value my long-term relationships with both customers and partners. Over the years it has always been rewarding to solve challenges and provide solutions that positively impact our customers every day.
What do you wish more people understood/knew about the plumbing industry?
One of the things I wish more people understood is the level of complexity and innovation involved in in the plumbing industry. Many people view plumbing as a simple, behind-the-scenes necessity, but in reality, the industry is constantly evolving to meet the demands of sustainability, efficiency, and safety. The collaboration between manufacturers, contractors, engineers and end-users is critical. Effective plumbing solutions are about more than just selling a product—they require understanding the challenges faced by installers and the real-world conditions they work in. It's a much more dynamic industry than many people realize, and I believe understanding that would help foster a greater appreciation for the trade as well as attract future talent to work in the trade.
