Lisa Hall
Technical Services Manager, Milwaukee Valve Company
How long have you been in the industry?
I spent the first 6 years of my career at an engineering firm in Houston, TX learning about process piping, valves, and field instrumentation. The past 7 years have been at Milwaukee Valve as an Applications Engineer and now recently leading the Technical Services team.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your career in PHCP-PVF?
The most rewarding aspect of my career is helping customers! Each day brings a variety of technical questions or new challenges, and there is always something to learn. It brings me so much satisfaction and joy to support our sales teams, specifying engineers, mechanical contractors, and end users with their valve needs.
It’s also very empowering being a woman making contributions in a traditionally male-dominated field (Engineering) and industry (PHCP-PVF). I hope to inspire more women to break barriers and pursue similar careers in the technical field!
What do you wish more people understood/knew about the plumbing industry?
Valves are everywhere! From drinking water flowing to your faucet, to cooling water systems in data centers, to the valves on Navy warships that are protecting our country every day. Valves are incredibly vital to the industry, and without them, modern infrastructure would not be able to function the same.
