NetworkASA in Washington, D.C. is open for business.

Earlier this year, I embarked on several busy weeks of travel which involved representing ASA at a series of industry events throughout the country. As my predecessors as ASA president can tell you, this involves providing association updates at various regional meetings, including gatherings of the Midwest Distributors Association, the Wholesalers Association of the Northeast, the North Central Wholesalers Association, the Southern Wholesalers Association, the Western Suppliers Association and others.

 Slow but stable growth in the stock market and a bright outlook for 2014 and 2015 were points of discussion during ASA’s Aug. 14 Industry Forecasting Webinar  

On occasion, luck plays a huge role. A couple years ago when the American Supply Association was sealing the deal to hold NetworkASA 2013 in Washington, D.C., the group led by Executive Vice President Mike Adelizzi had no inclination an issue such as tax reform would be up for discussion by Congress. 

 Next month at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel, our industry and the ASA membership will come together to be part of OUR industry networking and educational event,  

With NetworkASA just around the corner, it’s worth looking at statistics on workplace injuries and how your company might stack up against your peers across the country.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Doctors read medical journals to learn about new treatments and technologies, baseball players study each other to pick up tips to help their games and it seems around every corner there is an opportunity to enhance one’s cooking repertoire.
