The Producer Price Index for copper tube and fittings were up 2.2% month-over-month (up 6.6% in the last update) and was up 62.8% year-over-year (up 54.5% Y/Y last month).

Producer prices for HDPE pipe were up 10.0% M/M (up 6.4% last month) and were up 35.0% Y/Y (up 21.8% Y/Y last month).  

Valve prices according to the Producer Price Index were up 0.0% month-over-month in April (up 0.1% last month). 

Inventory levels are stable and keeping pace with current demand, as we see in some of the producer prices. 

Expect a 6-8% increase if raw materials continue to escalate. 

Steel prices are at an all-time high. We have seen a 7% increase already this year (malleable iron and welded nipples) with another 7% expected in Q2 2021. 

NYMEX domestic hot-rolled coil steel prices (CRU) were $1,451 per ton in April ($1,320 per ton in the last update).  

Demand is slowly improving at both the OEM and industrial sector levels. 

Nickel prices have fallen over the past 30 days to @$7.26 per lb. ($7.24 in the last update).
