If there is one rule of safety, it’s that what you think you know can make you dangerous. 

Last fall, amidst the uncertainty of the year to come, the ASA Education Foundation and the ASA Executive Committee committed to move forward with PROJECT VITALITY, the final of three ASA mega initiatives that comprise the Building One Future platform.

Now that 2021 has begun, I hope many of you are proud of what you accomplished in getting here, safely surviving 2020.

Depending on the specifics of a warehouse, some “smart” technologies can help a supply house increase productivity and reduce mistakes.

The good news is 2020 is over, we have viable vaccines and we are hopefully seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Now that the dust has settled from the general election and the U.S. Senate runoff election in Georgia, there is no doubt that the 117th Congress will have the closest partisan balance in modern history.

Before I retired in 2016, I’d get a lot of calls from lawyers who wanted to hire me to be an expert witness at a trial. They were almost always representing a building owner. I always said “no thank you,” because I like to keep stress out of my life.

My final urging to you is that you don’t stop getting involved with ASA just there, and that you go beyond participating to volunteering to help with ASA programs either at the regional or national level.

After last month’s NETWORK2020 Virtual conference, ASA members expressed excitement over the progress on ASA’s initiatives D. NEXT and PROJECT TALENT.
